you can,t fix a cold with meds. it,s a viral infection. green snot. you can treat symptoms with Nyquil at night for sleeping. an allergy indicates clear snot. you can treat symptoms with otc meds. sometimes a sinus infection occurs at the same time as an allergy attack. a sinus infection is bacterial, and can be addressed with antibiotics.

A cold is usually something that clears up in a short amount of time. Allergies are something that can last for life (not always, but sometimes).
It is a possibility that it is allergies and not just a cold if your medication is not working but it may just be that you do not have the right medication. Try asking your doctor's opinion.
