I had a series of shots that lasted nine years. My allergies have inproved tremendously. I used to be practically housebound in August and September. Now I don't even have hayfever then. I used to be allergic to nearly all raw fruits and vegetables. Now I can eat them without a problem. The smell of skunk used to make me break out in hives. Now it does not bother me.

I am currently having desensitisation injections (3 years) for tree and grass pollens! Started in September 2010. It has made a huge improvement on my hayfever symptoms, I can go some days without even needing to take an antihistamine! I also have severe Oral allergy syndrome (allergy to fruits/veg/nuts), and have been trialling foods since I noticed the difference it was making to my hayfever. I can now eat a few of the previously forbidden foods :)
