Q&A: Is it possible to get an allergy to cats late in life after years of no allergies to cats?

Question by twobearcatz: Is it possible to get an allergy to cats late in life after years of no allergies to cats?
I've been having a congestion/cold I can't get rid of. Antibiotics don't work. I don't have a fever or body aches, just incessant congestion and sometimes coughing. I have two cats that I've had for a few years now. I just got this cold about a month ago. The congestion doesn't seem to fade much when I leave the house for a few hours, etc. Could this be my cats?

Q&A: Can a food allergy cause constipation?

Question by nobuddynose: Can a food allergy cause constipation?
My 4 yr old daughter has always had constipation issues, our doctor just keeps prescribing laxatives, but I think there is another cause. Has anyone heard of a food allergy causing constipation?

Best answer:

Answer by open thoughtsFood allergies can cause almost anything. I would talk to a nutritional supplement person. Q&A: What are some home remedies for allergies?

Question by jenniemusic20: What are some home remedies for allergies?
I feel nausea, and tired plus the sinus drainage and a sore throat.

Best answer:

Answer by TiggerIt depends on what you're allergic to.

Some people suggest honey. With your symptoms, I would suggest tea with a spoon of honey, a bunch of lemon, and a dash of ginger or fresh ginger sliced into it. If nothing else, that should help with the nausea.

Meanwhile, get whatever you're allergic to out of your environment.

Good luck.

how can you tell the difference? Also does either cause a person to gain weight more rapidly?

Best answer:

Answer by Jennifer PYes, there is a difference. A milk allergy can be more severe. I think that an intolerance is related to the milk ensyme-Lactose. If it is this issue then Lactaid pills will help you digest it. I think also that the symptoms can be similar after you eat dairy. I would research it and talk to a doctor. I put …
