Catheter Fracture and Embolization Associated with an Arm Venous Port

This 55-year-ancient female were built with a chest X-ray throughout a follow-up visit for that control over her cancer of the breast. The chest area X-ray shown an embolized venous catheter superimposed upon the mediastinum. It had been determined the catheter from the patient&s arm port had broke and embolized towards the lung circulation. The catheter was retrieved, within the interventional radiology suite, under fluoroscopic guidance. The individual experienced no harmful effects.
