UGA award part of $1.4M grant to find cure for rabies

The University of Georgia is among a small collection of institutions that will share a $1.4M grant to study vaccines for the rabies virus, reports The Associated Press.

Researcher Zhen Fang Fu at the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine will partner with other experts to check a vaccine that could cure rabies much after infection, the news supply reports. The grant is awarded by the National Institution of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health.
