I had an allergic reaction to a piece of raw parsnip recently that sent me to the ER. But I've had cooked parsnips before without any problems. I am in the middle of getting tested for various food allergies right now, so I am sure I will be able to ask this question of the allergist when we have a final meeting and discuss the results. As a child I was allergic to Latex, but grew out of the allergy by the time i was a teenager. So, today i'm allergic to absolutely nothing.

My boyfriend is allergic to all animals, cats, dogs, horses, rabbits, anything with fur. Also he's allergic to grass, weeds, hay, straw, pollen, flowers... he's got so many allergies it's hard for him.

What are the chances of the kids getting his allergies, or what are the chances of them all being like me, allergic to nothing?

I have had a peanut allergy since I was a little girl and am now 16 and still have the allergy. I only have a reaction if I consume the peanut, or peanut product.

Answer by jslPeanut allergies can be devastating. The "reaction" you have is something you know and I don't. But if you've ever been hospitalized for it, if you've ever had what's called an anaphylactic reaction, you should avoid peanuts for the rest of your life.
