My daughter has been diagnosed with an allergy to the phoma mold family. We live in an area with very cold winters and hot, humid summers. I am wondering if a desert climate is beneficial for those with mold allergies.

Answer by wmorgelWe lived by Bisbee AZ and still had mold. So we moved back to Oregon and just keep the house clean to stop the mold.

Answer by heathernic_410Zyrtec is a very good allergy medication. It lasts 24 hours and while some people do experience some slight drowsiness with it, you can take it at bedtime and by morning there are no side effects.

I would like to learn more about natural remedies to help with allergies to dust, mold, and alternatives to asthma and allergie medications.

I'm currently on loritidine, singulair, albuterol, advair.

how do you best talk to your doctor about these alternative treatments
as they usually don't know and it probably isn't best to just not tell them..

How do docs test children for indoor & outdoor allergies? What's the difference/how can you tell between allergies & a sinus infection? Can a sinus infection cause goopy eyes?
